Job Title : Small Business Manager

How did you come to choose your present career?
 

Originally from Australia, I moved to Jersey at the end of 2004. With finance being the largest industry in Jersey, working for a company with a long and well established history such as RBS International seemed like the right thing to do. My first role was as a Customer Services Officer. After a year there I moved to the NatWest Business Team as a Managers assistant.  I have just been appointed to the role of Small Business Manager.

Describe your day to day role and what it involves?
 

In the new position as the Small Business Manager, I will be responsible for the management of a portfolio of business clients and their associated personal accounts. The role involves developing strong relationships with customers and maximising sales opportunities in order to achieve the goals of the Business Unit while ensuring that the Banks Credit, KYC & Due Dilligence requirements are adhered to.

What do you like most about your current role?
 

The opportunity to meet clients operating in the Jersey Business sector and ensuring that they receive the highest standard of customer service available.

What do you like most about working for RBS International?
 

RBS International has provided me with the oppurtunity to develop myself and has encouraged my personal learning.  Working for a employer such as RBS International also offers you great diversity in the type of roles on offer. What will be the next step in your career?
 

I would like to continue through the business channel, working as a Business Manager.

What training and support for development have you received or is available to you as an individual?
 

I have just started the Applied Diploma in Retailing Financial Services through the IFS, which the business unit is funding.
